  • CCM and DRIC hold First Country Coordinators Meeting of V2V Global Partnership Project

    The Directorate of Research and Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) and the Centre for Coastal Management (CCM) have held a Country Coordinators meeting of the Vulnerability to Viability (V2V) Global Partnership Project from 12 – 13 November, 2020.

  • Appointment of Dr. David Teye Doku as Deputy Director of DRIC

    The Vice Chancellor has on behalf of the University Council, appointed Dr. David Teye Doku as Deputy Director of the Directorate of Research Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) of the University of Cape Coast effective 1 September 2020. He joins Dr. Mrs Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah who was recently appointed by the Vice Chancellor to a similar role at DRIC. 

  • Staff of School of Graduate Studies Undergo Training on Turnitin

    The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) in collaboration with the Sam Jonah Library has organised a training workshop for staff of the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), on how to use the “Turnitin” (Plagiarism Check Software).    

  • Dr. Mrs. Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah Appointed as the Deputy Director of DRIC

    The Vice-Chancellor has on behalf of the University Council has appointed Dr. (Mrs.) Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah, as the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC), with effect from 1st August 2020. 

  • Short Report on Rice Integrity workshop and some achievement

    Rice is consumed by more than 3.5 billion people (almost half of the world’s population) and African countries imported more than 7.6 million tonnes of rice amounting to about $ 4 billion. In 2016, there was a wide spread rumour of fake plastic rice in the world and Ghana was not left out. This rumour was ranked 9th of 13 emerging food risks in the world. To make matters worse, the well-known detection techniques were inappropriate for on-site application and needed skilled individuals, it is difficult to use, high cost, and was much labor intensive.
